Alexander the Great, King of Macedonia, was a great strategist and conqueror in the 4th century BC. He inherited the throne at a young age and quickly conquered the Persian Empire and Egypt, creating a vast empire from Greece to India. Known for his military prowess and bravery, Alexander promoted the spread of Greek culture in the East, laying the foundation for the "Hellenized World", which collapsed when he died in Babylon at the age of 33.
