A legendary hero of Greek mythology, known for his unrivaled bravery and fighting ability. He was the most powerful warrior of the Greek allies in the war against Troy and was born to Thetis, the goddess of the sea, and Peleus, the king of Greece. Legend has it that his mother immersed him in the River Styx in order to make him invulnerable, except for his heels. Achilles won many victories in the Trojan War, but was enraged by the death of Patroclus and killed Hector.
