Huang Feihu, born into a military family, was conferred the title Martial King of National Protection of Shang. Wielding an iron spear and riding a five-colored divine ox, many famous generals served under him. Disgusted by Di Xin's tyranny, he defected after fierce battles, including at Sishui Pass, and joined Western Qi. He became a founding minister of the Zhou Dynasty and fought valiantly until he died at the Battle of Mianchi, along with four sworn brothers. He was enshrined as Great Emperor of Divine Mandate of Mount Tai, overseeing the 18 layers of the underworld.

Five-Colored Divine Ox Sacrament The Five-Colored Divine Ox was tamed by Huang Feihu using the elemental energies of the five directions. Its back bears auspicious clouds and its hooves step on lotus platforms. It can overturn mountains and roar to split stone. It carried Huang Feihu through five passes, crushed Zhang Kui at Mianchi County, and after death, its soul returned to the Investiture Altar, becoming the sacred beast of the 'Lady of the Southern Peak.'
